What coworkers say about me

"Jorge is a great talent, across all stages of the design process; from concept creation, to validation and research, through prototyping and detailed design.

He is able to think about detailed sub-features while maintaining a focus on the strategic vision of the product, keeping the rest of the team honest in their delivery of value.

Beyond the hardcore design skills, Jorge is also an excellent person to have on a team - good fun, proactive, willing to give and receive feedback, and just generally a nice human to have around.

Given the right opportunity, I'd work with Jorge again in a heartbeat."

"Jorge was a rising star at SpringStudio and I tapped him to lead 2 key initiatives:

  1. A global design framework for the next generation online banking experience for eleven of BBVA's markets.
  2. Design BBVA's smart assistant chatbot experience. I never had to micromanage Jorge.

He provided me with key input in defining the project approach. as well as the design strategy. I then simply gave him the space to work his magic. He worked very quickly and efficiently to explore concepts, proactively requested feedback from me and organized pier critiques. He then worked closely with other disciplines to deliver required assets with pixel-perfect detail.

Beyond his design skills he is becoming adept at navigating corporate political hierarchies to establish ambassadors for his solutions. You should know that if you hire Jorge you should treat him very well because I will be trying to recruit him to my next team."

"Jorge's strength comes in his ability to quickly learn, adapt, and keep improving with any challenge given to him or ones he proactively takes on.

There has never been a project that he was on, from global banking platform redesign to start up ideation to building complex design systems, that Jorge did not come in and in a short time really excel, step up and lead, and bring those projects to a next level that surpassed our expectations.

He is truly an asset and somebody I will always be following and trying to work with throughout his career."

"It was great working with Maya at Graava.

"Jorge is a creative and resourceful UX designer, drawing inspiration and insights from many places and synthesizing them to produce thoughtful digital product experiences. During his time at General Assembly, Jorge demonstrated a knack for picking up new design and prototyping tools quickly, sharing his findings or output with others.

I highly recommend Jorge if you're looking for a self-starting and research-driven designer."
